Orchestra of Southern Utah Performs to Help Raise Awareness

On October 4 at 7:30 pm The Orchestra of Southern Utah presented its Musical Memories Recital at the St. Jude's Episcopal Church. They performed Bloch's "Prayer" performed by Ling Yu, as well as music from Italy, China, America and a tango from Argentina.

Performers also included In Jubilo, directed by Jackie Jackson. The group was originally organized as a LDS stake women's chorus. Over the years, they have grown into a blend of voices of all types and ages and continue to perform together. The women love a diversity of music literature. They performed gospel style, spirituals and traditional music.

Other performers: cellist Nina Hansen and pianist Kristina McGuire; soloist Hannah Kaufman with Judith Larsen accompanying; pianist Gerald Rheault and oboist Hilary Savros; performers Holly Barrick, Madison Barrick and Lauren Barrick; vocalist Fred Dunnell with Teri Kenney accompanying; and pianist Benjamin Morton.
